Here's what the fans have to say...

"I've been a blues junky since he late 60's when I go turned on to a lot of the old Chess stuff, the Vanguard collections, etc. I'm 52 and grew up listening to a lot of r&b, but when I first heard some serious blues, that did it. I became a bass player and worked up in New England with various bands when this stuff was definitely not cool. I still fool around with it a lot. But that's not why I wrote...

Anyway, there's been just a few times that someone has just flat knocked me cold on the first listen. Buddy Guy was the first, and I still have all that old vinyl as well as all the other stuff. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Day before yesterday I fired up iTunes on my Mac (I play with Macs for a living and do a little music with them as well), hit low-band Electric Blues Radio and was stopped dead in my tracks by "My Old Friend the Blues." (Close enough?) I got the chills, the whole thing. The world just stopped for that six or seven minutes the cut was playing.

Unfortunately, I'd never run across your music until that moment. I stopped working and went into a total frenzy, first finding the EBR site and checking the playlists. Then I tracked down your site and grabbed the CD. Do you ever play in the Pittsburgh area? Please advise.

The whole point is *thank you* for doing what you do. You've really got it right and I'll make sure the rest of my blues loving friends and musicians get the word. I can't wait to hear the rest of the CD and get my wife listening. Are there more records available? I guess I'll check the site, which is damn cool, by the way, and see what I can find.

I appreciate it and best to you, Richard.
